World Green Building Council Webinar
(8 September 2026, Tuesday 15:00-17:00 SGT)
How can Asia Pacific strengthen resilience to extreme heat while continuing the transition towards net zero?
On 8 September 2026, the World Green Building Council‘s Asia Pacific Network will convene its inaugural resilience webinar, ‘Building Resilience to Heat’, during World Green Building Week.
We are pleased to welcome a diverse group of speakers bringing perspectives from government, civil defence, academia, development, engineering, design and building operations. Together, they will explore what heat resilience requires in practice—from public policy and emergency preparedness to urban planning, passive design, façades, materials, construction and the ongoing operation of buildings.
Asia Pacific is a highly diverse region, and there is no single response to rising temperatures. By exchanging experience across different climates and markets, we can identify locally appropriate solutions with wider regional value.
The discussion will also help inform follow-up focus groups and a regional position paper on heat resilience.
