Airport Infrastructure
Sustainable materials for a greener airport infrastructure
AGC offers energy-efficient solutions essential for the development of modern airport infrastructure. Our advanced materials for glazing systems, lightweight structures and ultra-weatherable coatings not only enhance the safety and aesthetics of airport terminals but also reduce energy consumption. These sustainable solutions contribute to creating durable, eco-friendly airports that align with global efforts toward environmental responsibility.

Clear Float and Tinted Glass
Clear Float and Tinted Glass are the foundation for every significant glazing project. It can be processed in multiple ways and serves as the base glass for various products, including coatings, mirrors, back-painted glass, and acid-etched glass. The wide selection of light transmission and versatility makes it ideal for airport facades, skylights, windows, and partitions, contributing to both functionality and design.
Clearsight
Clearsight is AGC’s exclusive anti-reflective glass, designed to significantly reduce glare. Its special anti-reflective coating minimises light reflection to less than 1%, compared to the typical 8% of conventional float glass. This feature enhances the visibility of displays and ensures a clear, unobstructed view for passengers and staff in control towers, observation decks, and terminal windows.
Clearvision
Clearvision is a low-iron glass known for its exceptional clarity and neutral aesthetics. With an impressive 92% light transmission, Clearvision is the perfect choice for projects requiring maximum transparency, such as airport facades and skylights. Its superior colour rendering and clarity enhances both energy efficiency and the architectural appeal of any airport structure.
Lacobel T
Lacobel T is the first painted glass range that can be cut and heat-treated directly by processors. Highly resistant to scratches and thermal shocks, Lacobel T is perfect for both indoor and outdoor applications in airports, streamlining production and reducing lead times.
Matelac T
Matelac T offers the unique benefit of being both cuttable and heat-treatable, with a matte finish that adds texture and depth to any surface. Like Lacobel T, it is resistant to scratches and thermal shocks, making it suitable for a variety of applications in airport infrastructure.
Matelux
Matelux is an acid-etched glass with a high-quality satin finish that provides a balance between privacy and light transmission. Its unique texture makes it ideal for both interior and exterior applications in airports, allowing light to flow through while maintaining privacy where needed.
Mirox MNGE
Mirox MNGE seamlessly combines style and functionality with exceptional reflective clarity and durability. Ideal for a variety of applications, it enhances the brightness of common areas while adding a modern aesthetic to interior spaces. Mirox MNGE is also Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) verified and Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze, ensuring a harmonious blend of elegance and eco-friendliness.
Planibel AS
The Planibel AS series is a magnetron-coated, low-emissivity glass designed to offer optimal thermal insulation and solar heat gain, making it ideal for energy-efficient windows in airports.
Planibel G
Planibel G is a pyrolytic coated, low-emissivity glass known for its high light transmission and thermal insulation properties. With scratch resistance and unlimited shelf life, it is a versatile option for airport windows, facades, and skylights.
Pyrobel / Pyrobelite
Pyrobel and Pyrobelite fire-resistant glass products ensure safety and compliance with stringent building regulations. Offering up to 180 minutes of fire resistance, these products are tested to meet European and international safety standards, making them essential for airport infrastructure.
Fluon® ETFE Film
A transparent lightweight material designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and high wind load in architectural and infrastructure projects. Fluon® ETFE Film reduces the need for structural steel, offering both cost savings and improved aesthetics for terminal roofing and facades. Its self-extinguishing properties also contribute to a safer airport environment.
LUMIFLON™
A durable coating that provides long-lasting protection for both interior and exterior airport surfaces. It withstands harsh weather, reducing maintenance and operational costs over time. LUMIFLON™ can be applied to a wide range of materials, including metal, concrete, wood, FRP, fiber cement board and plastic making it ideal for airport facades, hangars, and other structures. It also helps maintain aesthetic appeal across all surfaces.
Excestar™
An environmentally friendly sealant that’s perfect for airport applications requiring flexibility and durability. Its elasticity allows for expansion, contraction, and vibration resistance, making it ideal for runway joints and terminal structures. Excestar™ provides excellent adhesion to metals, plastics, and coatings, while its non-staining and weather-resistant properties ensure long-term performance in outdoor environments.
Architecture Fabric
Architecture PTFE fabric features light yet strong mechanical properties, excellent fire resistance, high durability (more than 25 years), and excellent sound absorption characteristics. Usage include sports facilities such as playgrounds and gyms, bus and train stops, traditional market, other resting and landscaping facilities, performance hall.
